This policy outlines YNDC’s practices utilized to safeguard personal information. Personal information is defined as any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a home or other physical address and an email address or other contact information. The YNDC collects personal information for individuals participating in any of the programs of the organization including, but not limited to, Lots of Green – Neighborhood Greening, Homeownership Incentive Program, Home Improvement Program, Home Purchase Program, Rental Units, and all other programs of the organization.
We maintain files of program clients with information related to the client, requests for service, program compliance/completion, and transactions with the organization. We also maintain program specific information including, but not limited to, credit information and other personal finance related information. We may also conduct surveys or other studies for marketing and/or planning purposes.
The YNDC takes a number of steps to protect the privacy and ensure security of your personal private information.
YNDC program clients may be asked to share their information for marketing purposes. Clients are under no obligation to share information. Clients, who agree to share information, will be asked to sign a consent statement agreeing to the use of their information for marketing purposes. Personal information utilized for marketing purposes will be limited to name and address information and will not include any personal financial information. For example, a client may be asked to share their story of becoming a homeowner through YNDC’s homeownership program and provide a testimonial for marketing materials.
