The YNDC is proud to announce the publishing of its fourth quarterly performance report of 2013!

"We have lived in the city on same street and same house for the past 47 years, enjoying being close to the university, museums, cultural activities and other amenities that an urban area offers.

We have also observed the changes. Most of the changes occurred with the transfer of housing to out-of-town buyers. Absentee owners may have had good initial intentions, but over time as the property remained vacant, vandals stripped the homes leaving an unsightly mess for the community.

As of June, 1, 2020 more than 175 people have made individual donations totaling more than $20,000 to the campaign to renovate 1810 Volney Road as a neighborhood action center and to provide quality housing.

On March 26, 2020, YNDC was awarded a $21,000 grant from Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley to offer unlimited match for the Double Up program.

A group that encourages saving Youngstown neighborhoods says enough money has been donated to begin work on renovating a historic building on Youngstown’s South Side.

The public fundraising campaign to renovate the former Carmelite Monastery on the South Side has passed its target, and the overall effort is more than 80% past the goal.
