YNDC Receives $13,000 Grant for Housing Counseling from The National Community Reinvestment Coalition

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition has awarded YNDC a $13,000 Field Empowerment Fund - Housing Counseling Services grant for its Housing Counseling program. The Housing Counseling Program empowers low- to moderate-income residents to identify and overcome barriers to homeownership, including inadequate savings, income, credit history, and understanding of the home buying process, and prepares them for future homeownership.

So far this year, more than 60 Housing Counseling clients have become homeowners. This funding, made possible through NCRC’s partnerships with KeyBank and HSBC, will help YNDC expand its Housing Counseling services and support more families on the path to homeownership.
