YNDC and Youngstown Police Department Install LED Lights as Part of Community Based Crime Reduction Program

On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) and Youngstown Police Department installed 40 solar-powered LED lights on 14 homes on the South Side in the Community Based Crime Reduction target area.

This is a small part of our overall Community Based Crime Reduction program and lights were something residents said were a priority. This is the second neighborhood wide LED light install. In 2018 LED lights were installed on approximately 90 homes in the target area.
