The City of Youngstown has awarded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds to YNDC for multiple housing and neighborhood improvement projects.

On Sunday, September 15, AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) team Oak 7 arrived in Youngstown to complete neighborhood improvement projects and tree planting with YNDC and multiple partners.

On Saturday, September 14, more than 90 people visited southside landmarks and revitalization projects on two tour buses.

On August 29, YNDC was awarded $150,000 in 6th Ward ARP funding to make physical improvements and eliminate blight along the Market Street corridor.

On July 31, 2024, more than 40 members of the Youngstown Housing Task Force met with Jad Pernot, a representative of Youngstown Houses LLC. The purpose of the meeting was to review a Community Agreement with Jad Pernot and ask for Youngstown Houses LLC to commit to executing and fulfilling the agreement.
