YNDC is seeking proposals for the design-build construction of six new single-family homes on Mineral Springs Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Frances Schermer Charitable Trust awarded YNDC a $5,000 grant for emergency repair.

Grant has lived in his east side neighborhood for 20 years. His roof was leaking into his bedroom and kitchen, and he had buckets all over the house to catch the water.

On May 23, YNDC's TreeCorps completed its spring planting of 185 two inch caliper trees. Trees were planted in multiple neighborhoods including: the greater Glenwood Avenue area, Boulevard Park, Powerstown, Buckeye Plat, Lincoln Knolls, Wick Park, Lansingville, Gibson Heights, Arlington Heights, and Mahoning Commons.

On Wednesday, May 29, the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) awarded $2,415,000 in Welcome Home Ohio (WHO) program funding to Mahoning County Land Bank (MCLB) in partnership with the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) to create new affordable housing opportunities.
